• Senior Staff Manager at Kaiser Permanente National EH&S

  January 2008 - March 2013

  Part of the management team consisting of Senior Director, Director, three Portfolio Managers, two Senior Staff Managers, and one Staff Manager; in addition to the duties and skills listed below, managing a staff of one TSM Coordinator, one EH&S Consultant, two EH&S Senior Consultants, and one Staff Manager. Expanding Kaiser Permanente's reputation as the leader in health care occupational health and safety and green buildings internationally.

• Project Manager at Kaiser Permanente National EH&S

  January 2001 - January 2008

  With the the IH Program and Portfolio Managers, responsible for the overall industrial hygiene strategy for Kaiser Permanente nationally, with particular emphasis on establishing KP's reputation as the leader in EH&S to external groups, such as Practice Green Health, Health Care Without Harm, the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, and the American Industrial Hygiene Association. Providing consultation to internal customers on lead subject areas: glutaraldehyde and sterilization technology, formaldehyde, eyewash and shower, ventilation, general industrial hygiene, and Product Safety. Managing and mentoring staff to develop their management skills and technical expertise to become content experts in program areas and lead initiatives themselves, as well as coaching them in supervising junior staff. Auditor (1998-2010) covering Asbestos, Blood Borne Pathogens, Chemical Hygiene, Hazard Communication, Hazardous Waste, Industrial Wastewater, Regulated Medical Waste, and Tuberculosis.
